Water Shut-Off Notice & Boil Water Advisory

ATTENTION: Businesses and Residents located along the 1900 – 2500 Blocks of South Irby Street, 2350 Freedom Boulevard, 2401 Freedom Boulevard, Federal Court, Hutchinson Avenue, Grace Drive, East Carolyn Avenue, and Toledo Scale Road.

DATES OF INTERRUPTION: Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 11:00pm to Wednesday, July 1st at 6:00am

The water main in your area will be turned off and water service temporarily disrupted on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, beginning at 11:00pm through Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 6:00am. We apologize in advance for this inconvenience, but the disruption is required to complete necessary repairs.

Once water service is restored, water lines will be flushed, during which time you may temporarily notice some discolored water.  You may also notice trapped air in your plumbing, which will be released as you initially use water.

The boil water advisory is a precautionary measure to protect public health until test results confirm the water is safe to drink. Because the water quality is unknown at this time customers are urged to take appropriate precautions. Test results for bacteriological quality should be completed on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at which time the City of Florence will notify customers regarding the status of the boil water advisory.

As a precaution, any water for consumption is to be boiled for one (1) minute prior to use.

If more information is needed, please feel free to contact the City of Florence, Public Works & Utilities Office at (843) 665-3236.
