Closure of Coit Street Planned for Stormwater System Upgrades

FLORENCE, SC- In support of the Cedar/McQueen Stormwater Project, the general contractor will be closing Coit Street from Timrod Park Drive to Cherokee Road beginning June 15, 2026. Currently they anticipate the road will remain closed for approximately 3 weeks.
These storm system upgrades will aid in slowing stormwater runoff while providing natural filtration before runoff reaches our waterways and will also reduce flooding in the area during heavy rainfall events.
