City of Florence Introduces a Dedicated Rear-Loader Recycling Truck to Sanitation Fleet

FLORENCE, SC – The City of Florence is taking steps towards improving curbside recycling and modernizing operations with the addition of a new designated 11-yard rear loader recycling truck–the first of its kind in Florence. Its rear-loader design will provide the City’s sanitation crew with a safer, more efficient way to collect recyclable materials throughout the city. This represents an important investment in the recycling program and equipment needed to provide reliable service to residents while supporting a safer collection process.
