Main Break Repair on Savannah Grove Road Underway

FLORENCE, SC – City Utility crews responded to an 8” water main break this morning on Savannah Grove Road, and now have the leak valved off and isolated for repair. Due to the size of the main and amount of water loss, customers in the Alligator Road service area are experiencing low pressure, and as a result we anticipate that customers will also experience water quality issues.
Once the repair is completed, water operators will be actively flushing in the vicinity to minimize water quality concerns. Should discolored water enter your system, please flush your internal lines to allow the discoloration to clear from your system.
