The City has been made aware of a scam email circulating to residents and businesses that falsely appears to be from City staff and/or City Boards and Commissions members and requests payment via wire transfer for review and approval fees associated with planning and zoning activities.
- This email is NOT from the City and is a scam.
Please remember:
- The City does not request payments via wire transfer through unsolicited email.
- Official City emails will come from verified City email domains, not third-party addresses.
- Do not click links, open attachments, or send payment if you receive this message.
If you receive a similar email:
- Do not respond or send payment.
- Delete the email.
- You may report it to the City by contacting our office directly using the phone numbers listed on the City’s official website.
When in doubt, always verify payment requests directly with City staff.
