⚠️ Attention ⚠️ The City of Florence would like to notify the public that the planned closure of the intersection of Damon Drive and Dix Lane for repairs to the Cloisters sewer lift station has been rescheduled due to a project delay. The intersection will now be temporarily closed from Monday, October 26, 2026 through 12:00pm on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The attached map indicates the area where the scheduled work will occur. Motorists are asked to take alternate routes to avoid this area if possible and exercise caution and adherence to all posted detours to ensure everyone’s safety. ⚠️ Attention ⚠️ The City of Florence is issuing a Boil Water Advisory for Florence water customers located in the Spaulding Heights Neighborhood. Water service has been disrupted for customers in this area due to a water main break at High Hampton Road and Rocky Way Drive. Utility crews are on site to make necessary repairs. The Boil Water Advisory will be in effect when water service is restored for these residents. City of Florence water staff advises these water customers to boil their tap water vigorously for one minute prior to using it for drinking or cooking. Once test results for bacteriological quality are completed, the City of Florence will notify customers regarding the status of the boil water advisory. ⚠️ Attention ⚠️ Road Closure: Hoffmeyer Road Sewer Line Repair Project Update Paving crews will be working today and tomorrow to patch and repair the section of Hoffmeyer Road affected by the sewer repairs. The two lanes adjacent to Moe’s are expected to remain closed until midday Thursday to allow for completion of asphalt repairs. All other portions of the roadway will remain open to traffic. Motorists are encouraged to avoid this section of Hoffmeyer Road, if possible, until all repairs are complete and the lanes have reopened. Additional updates will be provided as work progresses.
